Pros: This is one of the most popular roofing systems used today. It is easy to install and a bargain compared to the other roof systems out there. It keeps roofing cost down and is a great value. An asphalt roof uses shingles.
Cons: Asphalt doesn't last as long as the other roofing systems. They don’t tend to do as well as the others when it comes to storm damage or harsh weather.
Tile or Clay Roof
Pros: Tile roofs will last for a very long time, they are fire resistant and protect your roof well. Tile comes in many shapes, colors and sizes and is very easy to maintain.
Cons: Tile can break easily if they are walked on and are very heavy. Tile is expensive but in the long run the price is a bargain due to how long it last.
Pros: Metal Roofing systems are extremely durable, fire resistant, can resist heavy rain and hail. It is easy to install, low maintenance and made from recycled material. The variety in color is endless.
Cons: It cost more than asphalt.
